Clearwater Bombers Day

The first “CLEARWATER BOMBERS’ DAY” was held at the Historic Plumb House Museum on Saturday, March 16, 2009. Several players from the 10-time World Champion Clearwater Bombers Softball Team were on hand to greet visitors. Recalling stories from the glory days of some of Clearwater’s most famous softball players, such as Joe Everett, Manager (1962-63) and 2nd baseman (1952-55), Harry “Jughead” Hancock, catcher and right fielder (1941-63), and “Junie” Trombly 2nd baseman (1946- 51). A full Clearwater Bomber history exhibit was displayed.
